About us

Pawfect Occasions is a dog chaperone service specialising in weddings and events. Established in February 2019 and based in Preston, Lancashire, we have completed over 150 weddings since then. Even Covid couldn't put us down! We took the time "off" to rebrand and founded The Pawfect Present Shop to supplement our income and make sure we could provide our couples with the best!

I pride myself on doing all the marketing, social media, branding etc by myself (might be a bit of a control freak). After many weddings at different venues around the North West, we have established amazing relationships with venues and suppliers alike, word of mouth is so important!

In 2021, Martin (my fiancé) came on board as my assistant and has completed several weddings of his own now too! He is almost as dog mad as myself...

In 2022 we took another step towards being a completely eco-friendly business, after going paperless in 2020, we purchased our first Electric dog mobile. We have since gone electric with Martin's car too. We are constantly looking at making Pawfect Occasions more and more green in the next year.

In 2023 I entered The Wedding Industry Awards for the first time, after making it to the regional finals, I received the highly commended award for the special touches category!

Meet The Owner

Hi! I'm Annabel, the face of Pawfect Occasions. I've always been a big believer in doing a job you want to get out of bed for and I found it!

I have worked with dogs on a professional basis for 15 years and before that was training our family pets from the age of 4. Working in a boarding kennels, rehoming dogs at a well known rescue in Cambridgeshire, to running a busy dog walking business, has left me with experience of dogs in all walks of life.

When I had my second daughter I decided to pass on my dog walking business to a friend and start afresh. I'd been asked a few times to take clients' dogs to their weddings, so I decided to give it a whirl as a dog chaperone on a full time basis.

Alongside the real life experience, I have a degree in animal welfare and behaviour and have been to many courses and conferences over the years that have set me up to help all manner of behavioural issues and breeds.

Meet the team

At Pawfect Occasions we've expanded to make sure your day is Pawfect! They are all insured and trained by Annabel.

Martin

Martin is the one you will find rolling round with your pups having the best time! He is a Manager in a recruitment consultancy by day and has assisted Annabel in many weddings over the years. He has been flying solo since last year and the dogs all adore him.

Lauren

Lauren is a dog walker in the Longridge area and is also a collie lover like Annabel. She has a background in events and catering so knows all about the wedding industry! She has been assisting Annabel since April, and has been flying solo too!
